The Ghost of the Mujahideen #strain strikes you with a very spicy and hashy aroma. It’s Afghan traits become apparent as soon as you crack open the container. I chose this strain for the terpenes and the interesting name.
I was curious, too! Here’s what I found on Wikipedia:
Mujahideen is the plural form of mujahid, the term for one engaged in Jihad. Its widespread use in English began with reference to the guerrilla-type militant groups led by the Islamist Afghan fighters in the Soviet–Afghan War, and now extends to other jihadist groups in various countries.
The name was what really stuck out to me. Being an Indica with a wild name - it seemed like an interesting pick. Dense bud structure, but this batch didn’t seem to be trimmed as well as it could’ve been. The buds are very dank and fresh, so a little extra leaf isn’t a deal breaker.
Not an overwhelming scent when you open the container. You really get the profile of this one once you grind a bud or two, however. It has a mildly sweet and very earthy, spicy scent. The buds look well coated and are pretty dense. The Indica traits you would expect from an Afghan offspring, it sure shows its heritage. Taste is much sweeter than its scent, don’t be fooled! It has a mild scent but that is not representative of the taste it delivers.
It’s a relaxing dive and it dives deep! This one locked me into the chair and slowed my perception of time. Very deep and soothing euphoria. The terpenes really get straight to work with this one. Hard-hitting Indica effects that you’d expect - deep couch-lock, munchies, and eyeballs feeling ultra-relaxed.
No mega-munch alert on this one, but that might just be me. The Ghost of the Mujahideen didn’t increase my appetite like many straight Indicas that I’ve tried.
This one is a bedtime body slam. It wouldn’t be something I could smoke in the morning and during the day while remaining worth even half of a shit. It’s a hard hitter and puts me straight into relaxation mode. Great for super chill relaxation or before a good solid night’s sleep.
Grab a lounge chair and thank me later. This 👻 is no joke! Powerful and packs a story along with it. A great conversation starter with a name like “Ghost of the Mujahideen”. A great strain for those who favor a strong Indica with a curious name. A smooth and relaxing dive that really helped me manage pain in the evenings. I found that it works great for inflammation and general aches and pain.
